Tours with spaces available in Hanoi are motorcycle adventures that depart on the dates originally booked by our first riders. These riders are happy to welcome additional participants who want to join a Vietnam motorbike tour, share the adventure, meet fellow riders, and potentially save money compared with a strictly private trip. Every rider joining an open trip must send a deposit to secure their place. Spaces are limited and available only on selected tours and departure dates.
Our Tours
Motorbike Vietnam provides private and customized Vietnam motorbike tours rather than tours operating on fixed departure dates. In fact, we do not run regular trips on set dates. Many customers prefer to book a strictly private motorbike tour with a closed group, while others are happy to have additional riders join them for more fun, shared experiences, and a more social adventure. You can either start your own private ride and allow us to post an update to attract additional riders, or join an existing Vietnam motorcycle tour listed below.
Please note that an open-door motorbike tour may include riders with different levels of riding experience, riding styles, and expectations. If you prefer to know exactly who will be riding with you, or if you are concerned about having strangers in your group, we recommend booking a strictly private Vietnam motorbike tour. Finally, while we will do our best to find additional riders, we cannot guarantee that more people will join your trip. The tour will proceed according to the original booking, regardless of whether additional riders are found.
What Riding Skill Do You Need?
Intermediate and experienced riders are recommended for our Vietnam motorbike tours, especially for longer adventures involving mountain roads, off-road tracks, and changing road conditions. Riders should be comfortable controlling a motorcycle, using gears and brakes, and handling uneven or unfamiliar roads.
However, beginners and novice riders with very little motorbike riding experience can take a private riding lesson in Hanoi before departure. The riding lesson costs $30US and is designed to help riders gain basic confidence and improve their motorcycle control before starting the tour.
Please understand that our tours are real motorbike adventures, not riding courses. Riders must be able to safely control the motorcycle before leaving Hanoi. Under our current booking conditions, there is no refund for riders who are unable to ride or who are unable to continue because their riding skills are insufficient. We strongly recommend that anyone with limited experience takes the riding lesson before departure.

Many of our private motorbike tours are not listed here because they are booked exclusively for individual customers or private groups. If you have a similar schedule, or if you are interested in joining one of the upcoming Vietnam motorcycle tours below, please do not hesitate to contact us. We can often arrange for you to join either a partial or full ride, depending on the itinerary and available space. You can save some money and enjoy the adventure with new riding friends if you are happy to travel with other riders. A booking is only secured once a $200US-$500US deposit per person has been paid.

Most of our Vietnam motorbike tours are private, and only selected departures are open to additional riders. We regularly post updates on this page when spaces become available. If there is no existing tour that matches your dates, it is also possible to start a new motorbike trip and we can advertise it to see if other riders are interested in joining. While we cannot guarantee that additional riders will be found, we will make every effort to help you create or join a suitable group.
