MOTORBIKE TOUR COSTS IN VIETNAM
Tour cost is one of the most important factors when deciding who to book a Vietnam motorbike tour with. We are not always the cheapest option, but we aim to provide the best balance between price, quality, safety, service, and value. Our experience as a professional motorcycle tour operator allows us to offer different options to suit different riding styles and budgets.
Motorbike Vietnam offers three types of trips: Fully Guided (all-inclusive), Semi-Guided (motorbike and guide hire), and Self-Guided or Unguided (motorbike rental). Our Vietnam motorbike tour costs vary depending on the motorcycle you choose, the type of trip, and the number of riders in your group. To give you a clear idea of our pricing, please check the options below and tell us which one you prefer when sending your enquiry.
Option 1: Tour Costs. Unguided
Bike hire – the cheapest and most flexible option for experienced riders who want to explore Vietnam independently. This option gives you the freedom to choose your own route, schedule, accommodation, and stops while enjoying Vietnam from the seat of a motorcycle.
- Honda Winner 150 touring motorcycle (2016-2018): US$ 15/bike/day.
- Honda XR150L 2016-2017 trail bike: US$ 20/bike/day.
- Honda CRF150L 2019 dual-purpose enduro: US$ 25/bike/day.
- Honda CRF250L off-road dual-purpose enduro (2013-2017): US$ 40/bike/day.
Our unguided motorbike rental option is particularly suitable for experienced riders who are comfortable navigating Vietnamese roads and handling their own trip arrangements. If you already know where you want to go and prefer maximum independence, this is the most economical way to explore Vietnam by motorbike.
Price Option 2. Semi-guided
Bike and guide hire – an affordable option that combines the freedom of an independent trip with the local knowledge and support of a Vietnam motorcycle guide.
Our guide’s salary and motorcycle cost US$ 100/day/group, which is added to the motorbike rental price shown in Option 1 above. We limit this type of motorcycle tour to a maximum of five riders per guide, allowing the group to remain manageable while providing better support on the road.
You pay for fuel, accommodation, entrance tickets, drinks, and food during the trip for yourselves and the guide. The biggest advantage of this semi-guided Vietnam motorbike tour is the freedom and flexibility to decide where to eat, where to stay, and how long to spend at different places along the route.
For example, if two people want to hire two Honda XR150L motorcycles and one guide, you pay US$ 140 per day in total: US$ 40 for the two bikes plus US$ 100 for the guide and his motorcycle. After leaving our office, you simply pay as you go for fuel, accommodation, food, drinks, and tickets for the three of you until you return.

Price Option 3. Fully-guided
Fully guided tours – the most comprehensive option, with a higher tour cost but the convenience, service, and support of an all-inclusive Vietnam motorbike tour. Our fully guided adventures focus on quality, comfort, safety, and peace of mind, allowing you to concentrate on riding and enjoying the journey.
Since late 2006, this has been the most popular type of trip we provide. We carefully select reliable local accommodation, restaurants, and services along the route, while our guides share their knowledge of Vietnam’s culture, history, geography, and local life. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we aim to make every trip a memorable motorcycle adventure.

Hi,
I’m flying into Hanoi Monday arriving late afternoon.
I’ve been looking online to find motorbike tours for the duration of my trip – I fly back to Singapore on Friday.
I would be a passenger on a bike.
I could stay overnight Monday evening, at a cheap hotel and then we could start the journey early Tuesday, then back to Hanoi on Friday for my return flight.
Providing this fits in with you guys of course.
That would be 3 nights in total.
If that does sound suitable how much the cost be and what would be included?
I’m interested in seeing nice scenery, maybe some historic sites (possibly temples, Vietnam war tunnels etc) local people, local culture and of course amazing food – I’m very open to suggestions too.
If that doesn’t really fit in with you guys then perhaps one of the shorter, two night, one night or just a daytime tour could work.
Ideally the budget would be around $80 per day.
Regards
Dan
Hello Dan. Sadly, we are fully booked through April and we are not able to offer anything until the second week in May. In addition, your budget is a bit lower because the cheapest (for a group from five riders) starts at 100$US/day/person. Most of our tours are private between friends. Hopefully, we can do something next time at a much earlier notice.
Hi. I need a female teacher to teach me riding a motorbike in Da Nang.
Hello Diana. Sadly, we are based in Hanoi only and know nobody in Da Nang to recommend. You may try to do some Google search and find out who offers it. With us, this lesson is only possible if you rent a bike or join one of our tours. It’s not a stand-alone service.
