There are several one-day motorbike tour options around Hanoi to choose from, depending on how much riding you want to do and what you would like to see.

Short one-day riding tour

One of the most typical itineraries visits traditional villages around Hanoi, including Tho Ha, Bat Trang, Dong Ho, and Van Phuc. Each village offers something different, from traditional crafts and ceramics to silk production and local culture. Together, they provide a fascinating introduction to Vietnamese village life and traditional handicrafts.

However, some roads around these villages can be quite busy. Therefore, riders should have at least an intermediate level of riding experience and feel comfortable handling Vietnamese traffic.

If you are more interested in temples and pagodas, we can arrange a cultural route visiting But Thap, Dau, Thay, and Tay Phuong Pagodas. This is a great opportunity to learn more about Vietnamese Buddhism, architecture, and history. The riding distance is relatively short, although traffic can still be heavy in some areas.

Another popular option is Perfume Pagoda, one of the most famous pilgrimage destinations near Hanoi. Located around 60 km southwest of the capital, this large complex of temples and shrines sits among beautiful limestone mountains. The visit takes a full day, even with the cable car now available, while traffic along the route is generally manageable.

Long one-day riding tour

For riders who prefer a longer journey, Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are excellent choices. Located around 120 km south of Hanoi, Tam Coc is sometimes described as “Halong Bay without water” because of its dramatic limestone mountains rising from the landscape. The trip takes a full day and includes time to explore Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, followed by a relaxing boat trip through Tam Coc. The roads are generally easy and the traffic is relatively light.
