About Us

Offroad Vietnam is owned and operated by two passionate motorcycle enthusiasts. Anh Wu brings over 20 years of experience in the tourism industry, while Tony Nguyen spent more than a decade leading motorcycle tours before moving into an office-based role, where he now manages our fleet and supports our guides.

When you travel with Offroad Vietnam, you’re more than just a customer – you become part of our riding community. Unlike overseas-based tour operators, every dollar you spend stays in Vietnam and directly supports local people and businesses. Rather than investing in fancy offices or paying high commissions, we believe in reinvesting in our bikes, our team, and the communities we visit.

Why Us?

One of the things that sets Offroad Vietnam apart from many other motorcycle tour operators in Hanoi is the quality of our motorcycles. We exclusively use Japanese Honda four-stroke motorcycles, ranging from 125cc to 250cc, and do not use any other brands.

Our fleet consists entirely of company-owned bikes, including the Honda CRF250L, XR250L, XR150L, XR125L, and CGL125. We do not rely on rental motorcycles from third-party providers. This gives us complete control over maintenance, servicing, and overall bike condition.

In our experience, rental bikes often receive heavier use from riders with varying skill levels, which can affect their reliability. Mechanical issues can disrupt a trip and, in some cases, cut an adventure short. When you’ve invested significant time and money travelling to Vietnam, having a dependable motorcycle can make all the difference.

Motorbike Vietnam operates guided motorcycle tours exclusively on Japanese Honda road and trail bikes, taking riders through some of the most spectacular and remote regions of Northern Vietnam.

Our longer journeys along the legendary Ho Chi Minh Road offer a unique insight into Vietnam’s diverse landscapes, cultures, and traditions. As we typically pass through at least one province each day, riders experience the country’s remarkable variety firsthand – from mountain villages and winding backroads to bustling local markets and historic landmarks.

The route showcases some of Northern Vietnam’s most memorable highlights, including the peaceful Ba Be Lake, the spectacular mountain roads of Cao Bang, the stunning Ban Gioc Waterfall, and the historic Highway 4 near the Chinese border.

To ensure the highest level of safety and support, the tour is led by one of our experienced male guides. While we would be happy to offer female guides, it is currently difficult to find women who are available and willing to lead multi-day motorcycle expeditions.

Motorcycle & Scooter Hire

Our self-guided Vietnam motorcycle tours are ideal for independent travellers who prefer the freedom of exploring at their own pace and managing their own accommodation, meals, and daily schedule. Rental motorcycles are collected and returned at our Hanoi office.

When you pick up your motorcycle, we’ll provide route advice, travel tips, maps, a basic tool kit, spare parts, and a thorough briefing on bike operation and troubleshooting to help ensure a smooth journey.

We take pride in maintaining a fleet of genuine Honda motorcycles and scooters. We do not use Chinese copies or alternative brands, allowing us to offer reliable, well-maintained bikes that are proven on Vietnam’s roads and trails. When comparing rental options, we recommend looking beyond the daily rate and considering the motorcycle model, year, condition, and level of support provided.

While our prices may not be the lowest in Hanoi, we believe our quality, reliability, and customer service rank among the very best.

What Motorbike Vietnam Doesn’t Provide

• Large group coach tours that follow standard tourist routes. We specialise in small-group and private adventures that focus on authentic experiences and less-travelled roads.
• One-way motorcycle or 4×4 rentals. All vehicle rentals begin and end at our Hanoi base.
• Motorcycle import/export services or permits for cross-border travel. Our motorcycles cannot be taken into other countries, and we do not arrange permits for foreign-registered vehicles entering Vietnam.
